Chapman on the Line?
Tice diffused any speculation that Michael Bennett's injured foot isn't healing properly. He also said Moe Williams would be a valued asset. But, when Doug Chapman's name come up, he raised his eyebrows and shrugged -- the universal coaching symbol for "who knows?"
VU has been told that Chapman will have to have a solid minicamp this weekend to keep the No. 2 featured role with the team. Considering his salary, if he falls behind Smith and Williams on the depth chart, his future with the team would be in serious jeopardy.
While many fans may not believe jobs are won or lost in minicamp, the truth is the Vikings are hoping Smith lives up to their own lofty expectations. If he does, Chapman may end up becoming an afterthought and a training camp casualty.
