The Vikings got their ideal trade scenario, moving back one spot and still having their three top choices on the board.

The Vikings traded the No. 3 pick in the draft to move down one spot in the first round and acquire three picks, according to FOXSports.com.

According to ESPN, those picks are in the first, fourth, fifth and seventh rounds.

The Browns are expected to draft Alabama running back Trent Richardson. While the Vikings weren’t going to select Richardson, the move guarantees that the Vikings wouldn’t trade the pick to another team that would draft Richardson.

The move gives the Vikings the ability to trade back again or have their choice of LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne and USC offensive tackle Matt Kalil.
