Both of the Minnesota Vikings that were listed as questionable on Friday's injury report – LB Marvin Mitchell and WR Jarius Wright – are inactive for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. Both were dealing with ankle injuries.
But perhaps the most interesting inactive for Sunday's game is CB Brandon Burton, who played five snaps as the Vikings' fourth cornerback. In his place is A.J. Jefferson, who was acquired from the Arizona Cardinals in trade when the team cut the roster to 53 players. Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said late last week that Jefferson was comfortable enough with the team's defensive concepts to be active. He might also contribute in the kick-return game, as he has taken reps there on a regular basis in practice.
Also inactive for the Vikings are QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson, S Robert Blanton, LB Audie Cole and OL Mark Asper.
The Colts have several starters inactive because of injury, including LB Dwight Freeney, WR Autin Collie, G Joe Reitz and OT Winston Justice. Also inactive for the Colts are QB Chandler Harnish, RB Delone Carter and LB Pat Angerer.
