COMMENTS FROM VOTERS ON MINNESOTA VIKINGS (17)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 20) - Lots to ponder after win over 49ers.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 11) - They are a surprising 2-1, and Christian Ponder's improvement is paying huge dividends.
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 21) - QB Christian Ponder is the Most Improved Player in the league through the first three weeks.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 17) - Even Randy Moss had to be impressed with what he saw out of his old Vikings team. Two more TD throws and a brilliant TD run from Christian Ponder, plus some tough inside running from Adrian Peterson, and the Vikes pull off the upset.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 16) - QB Christian Ponder has not thrown an interception yet and the Vikings have a 2-1 record to show for it.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 15) - Hey, all I know is that the Vikings are this close to being 3-0.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 11) - Ponder this note. He's completing 70 percent of his passes and hasn't thrown a pick.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 19) - Christian Ponder is a pleasant surprise as well as the defense. Their wins are both at home, and the road can be an ugly place for a young team.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 15) - Last week I said the Vikes are "getting better." Believe me I didn't expect them to beat the 49ers, but they did! Another big test next week against what will be an angry Lions team.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 20) - The Vikings responded to head coach Leslie Frazier's challenge to better San Francisco's physicality in a 24-13 thumping. The next step toward respectability - giving a much better road effort Sunday in Detroit following a win than what Minnesota displayed in a Week Two loss at Indianapolis.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 18) - It's starting to look like Adrian Peterson and Christian Ponder can be quite an effective combination for the Vikings.
