Peterson, Brinkley active, will start

Adrian Peterson, Jared Allen and Jasper Brinkley were part of an extensive injury report on a short week, but all listed as probable will play Thursday night.

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson and LB Jasper Brinkley are both active for Thursday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as is DE Jared Allen. They were part of a dozen players listed as probable Wednesday.

TE John Carlson (concussion) and S Mistral Raymond (ankle) were declared out on Wednesday.

Peterson has been dealing with left ankle soreness since the Tennessee Titans game and Brinkley missed Friday’s practice for non-injury reasons and was expected to play.

The Vikings declared QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson, WR Jarius Wright, CB Brandon Burton, Raymond, LB Audie Cole, OL Mark Asper an Carlson inactive.

Allen, Antoine Winfield, Matt Kalil, Harrison Smith, Robert Blanton, Marvin Mitchell, Christian Ponder, Matt Asiata, Fred Evans, Jerome Simpson and Brinkley were all listed as probable and will play.

Inactive for the Bucs are CB Myron Lewis, RB Michael Smith, DB Keith Tandy, LB Najee Goode, G Cody Wallace, WR Chris Owusu and TE Danny Noble.
