Vikings receiver Percy Harvin missed Thursday’s practice because of a family matter. Head coach Leslie Frazier is “pretty convinced” Harvin will be ready for Sunday’s game.
Vikings receiver
Percy Harvin
wasn’t at Thursday’s practice because of a family matter that shouldn’t impact his ability to play Sunday at Seattle.
“He should be back tomorrow,” Frazier said.
Harvin may have to go back to Virginia, but was still in the Twin Cities on Thursday. Frazier said Harvin was still trying to get details. The coach said he thought Harvin would practice on Friday, but was hoping to find out additional details later Thursday.
Frazier said he is “pretty convinced” Harvin would be ready to play on Sunday.
Harvin is tied for the NFL lead with 60 receptions and has 667 receiving yards. He is also the league leader in kickoff return average at 35.7 yards and leads the league in combined yards (rushing, receiving and returning) with 1,274.
Harvin had been dealing with a hamstring issue that had him limited in Wednesday’s practice, but that wasn’t the reason he missed Thursday’s practice.
“He moved pretty good. It was a little tight, but he moved pretty good,” Frazier said. “He went through everything we did.”
In other injury news, tight end
John Carlson
still hasn’t been cleared to practice after suffering a concussion Oct. 21 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Carlson and Harvin were the only Vikings that didn’t participate in Thursday’s practice.
