According to reports, Chicago Bears offensive lineman Chris Spencer has been named the club's starting left guard. Spencer began the season as the starter but, after two poor performances to open the campaign, was replaced by Chilo Rachal.
Yet Rachal has struggled recently. Against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night, Rachal had his worst game of the campaign, giving up one sack and one hurry, and committed two holding penalties.
Rachal was told of the demotion this afternoon. It angered him and he walked out on the team. Rachal has five days to report back to the club. If he does not, he will be placed on the reserve/left team list.
James Brown was signed off the practice squad to take Rachal's roster spot.
