PACKER REPORT PREDICTION (8-2): The NFL’s bye system is ridiculous. For the second time this season, Green Bay will face a team coming off its bye. The Packers lost the first one, to Indianapolis back in Week 5. The Packers were coming off of their bye last week, when they nipped Detroit with a late rally. Wouldn’t it make sense for teams coming off of their bye to play each other the next week? A league spokesman told Packer Report recently that it would be logistically difficult to create such matchups. Baloney. Have the four NFC North teams have their bye in the same week and then play each other the next. The bye is the difference this week. The Giants are good and rested and the Packers still have a lot of star power in street clothes. Giants 24, Packers 20
