The Vikings have re-signed Pro Bowl fullback Jerome Felton to a multi-year deal.
Last year, the Vikings signed Felton to a one-year deal after searching for an accomplished fullback for years. Now they have one for years to come.
In his first year blocking for running back Adrian Peterson, Felton earned his first Pro Bowl berth. Peterson rushed for 2,097 yards, coming up nine yards short of Eric Dickerson's all-time record of 2,105 yards.
"Thanks to the Minnesota Vikings," Felton texted Viking Update. "I belonged in purple and gold. Future is bright."
Felton is the fifth of the Vikings' 10 unrestricted free agents to re-sign with the team on Tuesday in the hours before and after free agency opened. He joins RT Phil Loadholt, WR Jerome Simpson, C Joe Berger and S Jamarca Sanford.
