The Vikings announced their preseason schedule, starting with the Houston Texans the weekend of Aug. 8-10.

The Vikings have announced their preseason schedule, with most of the exact dates and times still to be determined.

Minnesota will start the preseason by hosting the Houston Texans the weekend of Aug. 8-10, followed by a Week 2 contest the weekend of Aug. 15-17 at Buffalo, where they will see former Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson.

Only one date on the preseason schedule is finalized – the Vikings’ Week 3 matchup at the defending NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers on Aug. 25. That game will be nationally broadcast at 7 p.m. Central on NBC.

The Vikings close the preseason Aug. 29-30 against the Tennessee Titans.

All the dates and times will be announced when finalized.
