Vikings receiver Cordarrelle Patterson was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for December.
Patterson is the fourth Viking to win offensive rookie of the month, joining Adrian Peterson, Randy Moss and Percy Harvin.
Patterson finished the season with 45 catches for 469 yards and four touchdowns and 12 rushes for 158 yards and three touchdowns. Included in those numbers were a 79-yard touchdown reception and a 50-yard touchdown run. He also led the NFL in kickoff return average at 32.4 yards on 43 returns.
In December, Patterson had 16 catches for 219 yards, including a 141-yard game against Baltimore on Dec. 8, and 10 rushes for 102 yards and three touchdowns.
Patterson is the first NFL rookie with at least three rushing touchdowns and three receiving touchdowns in a month since Roger Craig in December 1983.
