Vikings move draft party downtown
The festivities will be a one-night event, May 8, starting at 5:30 p.m. and running through the conclusion of the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. The Vikings have the eighth pick in the first round and the draft starts at 7 p.m.
General admission tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the team's website. Season ticket members get one free ticket for every season ticket (limit four per account) until the event is sold out.
As usual, the party will feature NFL Network's coverage of the first round, along with Vikings play-by-play voice Paul Allen and color analyst Pete Bercich, with current and former players on site to sign autographs. Vikings cheerleaders and mascot Viktor will also be in attendance.
Xfinity Red Zone tickets are also available for $75, with seating close to the stage and unlimited Pepsi products, two free Miller products for those 21 and older, tailgate food, an appearance by a current player and other promotional items.
No bags except for women's purses will be allowed in the event, and purses will be subject to search.
