Knee Injury For Avery?
In an injury report more fitting of the Broncos than the Vikings, Tice indicated Avery has a knee injury that hasn't been reported or discussed previously and may send him to the injured reserve list -- which would mean he would be lost for the season.
While there hasn't been much made of the injury prior to Thursday, it coincides with the Vikings preparing to add both Michael Bennett and Nick Davis to the active roster. VU will follow up on this as more information becomes available.
* It looks like Doug Chapman will be the primary kick return man Sunday. Tice said he was impressive in kick returns in practice. While Onterrio Smith may also see time in the return game, this could be Chapman's chance to save his roster spot with the Vikings before Bennett returns.
* Tice hinted that Bennett may be "in uniform" for the Nov. 2 game with Green Bay. However, in uniform and playing could be two very different things.
