Linehan Gone to Miami
That matter of time came Wednesday when he signed a three-year deal with the Dolphins for a reported $2.55 million.
The deal averages $850,000 a year -- almost tripling his salary of $300,000 with the Vikings. While the Vikes were expected to make a significant increase in their own offer, there was no reason to expect they would have come anywhere near that price -- which is $100,000 more than Mike Tice was paid last year.

Rusty Tillman is said to be hanging precariously onto his job and may be replaced from within by former special teams standout Chris Walsh -- who joined the team as an assistant in 2004.
