Scouts Keep Jobs
Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings Triangle of Authority may have experienced a lot of changes, but the team's scouting department got a vote of confidence when it was announced that the scouting staff has been retained heading into the 2006 season.

The Vikings' authority pyramid remained pretty much the same, as the team announced that almost all of the scouting staff that had contracts that expired June 1 had been retained.

The Vikings re-signed nine of their regional scouts and added one new scout to their staff.

The team hired Paul Roell, who spent the last 15 years as a scout for the Colts organization, as one of its regional scouts.

As part of the new management system, some personnel people received different titles for the jobs they do, including pro scout Paul Wiggin, but, with all the turnaround we've seen in the past six months, the scouting department will remain largely unchanged.
