The Todd Pinkston era didn't last long enough for fans to get a jersey -- or even know for certain what his number was going to be.

The Vikings signed Todd Pinkston earlier this week in hopes that his Achilles problems were behind him. As it turned out, they weren't and the Vikings announced today that he has been released.

His place on the roster has been taken by wide receiver Maurice Mann, signed today off the Eagles practice squad.
