>Week 10 from NFL Europe
The Vikings have four players allocated to the NFL Europe this summer – CB Jerron Wishom, WR Justin Surrency, OT Jimmy Martin and DT Alex Guerrero.  Week 10 results are in:  Wishom started at LCB and recorded one tackle in the Centurions 31-14 loss to Frankfurt (game summary); Martin started at OLT for Rhein in their 17-13 loss to Hamburg (game summary) as his team average 5.7 yards-per-rush on the ground; Surrency did not start but played for Amsterdam in their dramatic 21-20 win over Berlin (game summary ), and he had no catches.  Guerrero is out with a knee injury for Rhein but is expected to be ready in time for training camp with the Vikings.

>Richardson among those at football camp in Philly
Vikings fullback Tony Richardson joined other current and former NFL players at an All-Star Kids Football Clinic in Philadelphia yesterday.  But perhaps more curious were the comments of division rival Bears’ DT Tommie Harris, who praised Eagles’ QB Donovan McNabb to the point of dissing his own QB Rex Grossman.  (

>Revisiting the Culpepper and Moss trades…again
In the end, the Vikings trading away quarterback Daunte Culpepper and wide receiver Randy Moss might have been a lose-lose for both teams.  Clearly it didn’t work out for the Dolphins and Raiders.  The jury is still (somewhat) out for the Vikings.  (SeahawksHuddle)

>Ex-Vike Robert Griffith looking for one more shot
Veteran NFL safety Robert Griffith, who originally entered the league as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Vikings back in 1994, would still like to play for someone.  But at 36 years old, he's still waiting for a team to call.  Griffith, a long-time bachelor, also tied the knot this weekend.  (

>Ex-Vikings White, Boyd like many after football career ends
It’s an issue that’s finally getting the attention it deserves.  Hopefully the league and the union can work together to forge a better way to take care of the players that make the game.  The list of players struggling with serious ailments is truly sad.  (

>Vikings still very much a longshot to win Super Bowl
One could make a bundle if the Vikes were to put it all together this season and win it all.  Especially at 50/1 odds.  (

>Tryout quarterback ready to go into coaching
Among the formally unknown list of players who came in for tryouts during the Vikings rookie camp in May was East Stroudsburg quarterback Jimmy Terwilliger.  The Vikings did not offer him a contract, and he found a similar fate after working out for Calgary of the Canadian Football League.  It looks like coaching will be Terwilliger’s next move.  (Pocono Record)
