Owner Zygi Wilf is 100 percent behind head coach Brad Childress and the direction the team is taking, according to this AP report. “I have more faith in our coaching staff and our players and our team than I ever have,” Wilf says. “I hope as the years go on we will be that much more confident in the direction we're going. We'll just have to see how the season turns out. I'm very confident we're on the right track with what we're doing.”

The Vikings owner also earmarked the proceeds from the Vikings-Chiefs scrimmage on Friday night to the relief effort dedicated to the I-35W bridge collapse.

Adrian Peterson (hip), Chester Taylor (forearm), Troy Williamson (infection), Ben Leber (calf), Aundrae Allison (hamstring), Ronyell Whitaker (ankle) and Wendell Mathis (muscle tightness) did not participate. Pat Williams, Kevin Williams and Antoine Winfield were also held out. Henderson has adjusted to moving back inside to middle linebacker smoothly. “He's capable mentally and physically of doing everything that I've asked him to do,” linebackers coach Fred Pagac says in this StarTribune report. “Napoleon [Harris] played great for us, but I see us having the same success with E.J.”

I just try to bring to the table anything I can to help this team win.”
