A.P. Upgraded
Adrian Peterson
Adrian Peterson

Posted Nov 23, 2007

It seemed a near certainty that Adrian Peterson would miss Sunday's game. A best-case scenario seemed to lean toward listing him as doubtful for the Giants game. But, in the team's injury report, he has been upgraded to questionable -- meaning there's a 50-50 chance he could see action Sunday against the Giants.

Gamesmanship or not?

It looks like we’ll have to wait on that, but the Vikings upgraded Adrian Peterson to questionable for Sunday’s game with the Giants. In NFL terms, that means there is just as likely a possibility that A.P. will play as not play after taking part in a limited practice Friday.

Vikings coach Brad Childress, who refused to rule A.P. out earlier in the week, told the media Friday that Peterson continues to make progress and admitted that he’s still non-committal one way or the other for Sunday.

“There’s a 50-50 chance he’ll play,” Childress said. “That as professional of fence-riding as you can get, isn’t it?”

Peterson has been practicing on a limited basis this week wearing a knee brace to protect a torn lateral collateral ligament he tore two weeks ago against the Packers.

The Vikings likely won’t make a final decision until shortly before game time when inactive players are announced – approximately one hour before the opening kickoff.
