The Vikings were trying to slip him through waivers to put him back on their practice squad, but division rival Green Bay foiled those plans when they claimed defensive tackle Conrad Bolston on waivers from the Vikings today, the Packers announced.
Bolston originally signed with the Vikings as an undrafted rookie free agent from Maryland following the draft and was a player they felt had some upside potential.
He spent the first 12 weeks on the Vikings’ practice squad before being signed to the active roster Nov. 28. He was inactive against the Detroit Lions but appeared in his first regular-season game this past Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. He recorded one tackle and was credited with a forced fumble.
Bolston was activated from the practice squad when Fred Evans was suspended by the league for two games.
He will wear No. 93 for the Packers.
