Vikings Not Only Ones Receiving Wilf Money

A gift of $5 million from Jane and Mark Wilf, a 1984 alumnus, will fund the construction of Wilf Hall, a new dormitory in Butler College, and establish the Jane and Mark Wilf '84 and Wilf Family Fund for Jewish Life to support programming in the Center for Jewish Life (CJL).

You can read the entire story here, but suffice to say the Vikings are not the only entity benefiting from the generousity of the Wilf family.

“Part of what makes Princeton special is its strong emphasis on students,” said Vikings owner/president Mark Wilf in the Princton.edu story.  “I had a wonderful experience as a Princeton student, and supporting the construction of a new dorm is a way for me to contribute to providing a superlative residential experience for Princeton students of the future.”

The gift provides $4.5 million for Wilf Hall and $500,000 for the Wilf Family Fund, which will support programs and initiatives in the CJL that foster student leadership and service both on the Princeton campus and in the wider community.

“Preparing young people for leadership and service to the Jewish community is of great importance to me and to my family,” said Wilf, who is involved in local, national and global efforts to ensure the welfare and vitality of the Jewish people.  The Wilfs’ previous gifts to Princeton include Wilf Hall in the Center for Jewish Life, the main sanctuary used for worship services and other gatherings.
