Vikings Seek Help in Iowa Flood Cleanup
The Minnesota Vikings need your help! Please join us in Iowa City on Friday, July 18.
On Friday, July 18, Minnesota Vikings owner Zygi Wilf and linebacker Chad Greenway will travel to Iowa City, Iowa, to show their support for the residents of Iowa City and Cedar Rapids who were affected by the recent devastating flooding. From 11:00 a.m. to noon, Wilf and Greenway, along with Vikings fans, staff members and cheerleaders, will remove debris and clean up the Bobby Oldis baseball fields at the City Park in Iowa City (200 East Park Road). Following the cleanup efforts, Wilf and Greenway will present a contribution from the Minnesota Vikings, the Wilf Family and Greenway's Lead the Way Foundation to the United Way of Johnson County Flood Relief Fund. Greenway, a University of Iowa alumnus, will also be available to sign autographs at the end of the visit.
In order to make this event a success, we need your help. Our goal is to turn out as many Vikings fans as possible to assist in the cleanup and help with this great cause. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping, please wear purple and be at the City Park by 10:45 a.m. on Friday, July 18. Please use the Lower City Park entrance and park on the City Park side of the baseball diamonds. For more information, please contact Vikings Manager of Public Affairs Jeff Anderson at (952) 828-6570.
Thank you for being the best fans in the NFL and thanks for spreading the word about this great cause!
