Photo Gallery: Battling defenders

With the players getting some time off before returning to training camp in late July, we look back at the Vikings’ minicamp in pictures. Today, a look at some of the defensive linemen trying to find a roster spot and then Brad Childress’ hair-enhanced visor.

Today, we revisit some of the players rejoining the defense after a year off and one newcomer trying to make the team. Jayme Mitchell is trying to come back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in 2008 and Kenechi Udeze continues his comeback from leukemia last year. Meanwhile, defensive tackle Tremaine Johnson is also trying to find a spot on a crowded defensive line.

And then, for a little levity, we had to insert the pictures of Brad Childress’ visor that he wore that was topped with fake spiked hair.
