Adrian Peterson’s successes keep coming, this time with a feature DVD on him put together by NFL Films.

Everyone is looking to capitalize on the star power of Adrian Peterson. In just his third year in the league, A.D. has been one of the most sought after endorsement icons in the league. But on Tuesday, his young career will be chronicled in a DVD put out by NFL Films.

“All Day With Adrian Peterson” will be released Tuesday and the documentary will look at Peterson’s life, focusing on his first two seasons in the NFL. While there are still many chapters yet to be written, it’s the NFL’s way of anointing A.D. as the top running back in the NFL.

The DVD will be available at most of the box stores and wherever DVDs are sold.

SATURDAY NOTES

  • It’s happy 40th birthday to Brett Favre today. Peterson said Thursday he wasn’t sure what he was going to get Favre.

  • Rookie right tackle Phil Loadholt is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game with the Rams with an ankle injury. The questionable designation means he has about a 50-50 chance of playing. If he can’t go, it is expected that either Artis Hicks or Ryan Cook will take his place in the lineup. The injury could be an aggravation of an ankle sprain he sustained in training camp that flared up Wednesday or Thursday during practice.

  • Guard Steve Hutchinson has been limited in practice this week with a back injury, but is listed as probable to play on Sunday.

  • Others on the Vikings injury report are Darius Reynaud (hamstring, out), Favre (foot/ankle/knee, probable), Cedric Griffin (hand, probable) and Ray Edwards (hamstring, probable).

  • The NFL filed a request to the Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals asking that all the judges hear and rule on the StarCaps case involving Kevin Williams and Pat Williams. The three-judge appeals court panel ruled last month that the Williamses’ case should move forward in Hennepin County District Court. In its request, the NFL asked that all active judges in the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals hear the case.

  • Favre was selected the FedEx Air Player of the Week Friday, beating out Peyton Manning and David Garrard for the award.

  • What difference does going to a Super Bowl make for a team? Apparently not so much in Arizona. The Cardinals needed an extension from the league and a local media blitz to sell out Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. The Cardinals also needed an extension to sell out their home opener against San Francisco.

  • The NFL is taking precautions against the H1N1 virus that would include the potential for a team to activate all of its practice squad players on game day in the event a game-day epidemic breaks out.

  • In a sign of gloom and doom, NFL Players Association Director DeMaurice Smith is telling players to save 25 percent of their salaries from 2009 and 2010 in preparation for a 2011 lockout.

  • With 47 yards passing Sunday, Kurt Warner will join Fran Tarkenton as the only quarterbacks in NFL history to throw for more than 13,000 yards with two different teams.
