| Biography: |
Ted Cottrell became the Vikings' fourth defensive coordinator in four season when he was hired on Jan. 13, 2004.
He spent the previous two seasons as the defensive coordinator for the New York Jets, and was with the Buffalo Bills in the same capacity from 1998-2000. He had also been a position coach, either defensive line or linebackers, with the Bills (1995-97, 1986-89), Cardinals (1990-94), Kansas City Chiefs (1981-82) and Atlanta (1969-70). He also spent nine years in various positions at Rutgers and with the New Jersey Generals of the USFL. |
