Biography:
Henri Crockett signed with the Vikings in 2001 and was expected to be the starting middle linebacker after playing five seasons in Atlanta. However, after struggling to make the correct calls during the preseason, Crockett was moved to the weak side when middle linebacker Greg Biekert was signed days before the regular-season opener.

The Falcons drafted Crockett in the fourth round of the 1997 draft. Entering the 2004 season, he has 420 tackles and 7.5 sacks.

2003: Led the team with 8.5 tackles-for-loss. Started all but one game, registering 54 tackles and two quarterback hurries. Started the season on the strong side, but played four games on the weak side filling in for an injured Chris Claiborne.

2002: Started 11 of 14 games in his first season as a Viking. He didn’t start when the Vikings began the game in the nickel defense, and he missed two games with a pectoral injury. Had a season-high 12 tackles at Tampa Bay (11/3) and finished the season with 94 tackles, six for a loss, and two QB hurries.

2001: Started 15 games, recording 54 tackles, in his final season with the Falcons.

2000: Started 12 games and ended with 48 tackles and two sacks.

1999: Started 14 games, finishing with 59 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

1998: Started 10 games in the regular season, making 38 tackles, and three playoff games, including Super Bowl XXXIII.

1997: As a rookie, started 10 games, beginning with the fifth game of his career. Had 46 tackles and two sacks.

College: Ranked third on the Florida State team with 98 tackles his senior season. He also had 12 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks and an interception in his final year as a Seminole. Recorded 192 career tackles and 6.5 sacks in 45 games.

Was an Ely High School (Pompano Beach, Fla.) teammate of Tyrone Carter and named a Parade Magazine, Super Prep and Football Report All-American as a senior. His brother Zack is a fullback with the Oakland Raiders.
