Although Larry Ned was drafted in the sixth round by the Oakland Raiders after a productive career at San Diego State, where he threatened many of Marshall Faulk's records, the Raiders released Ned in training camp 2002. The Chargers picked him up, then released him in December 2002, when the Vikings came calling. Ned will compete for a roster spot throughout minicamps and training camp in 2004.
2003: Was active for three games, making four special teams tackles. Spent the first 14 weeks of 2003 on the practice squad.
2002: Spent the final three weeks of the 2002 season on the Vikings’ practice squad.
