The Vikings signed Rhett Nelson to their practice squad after the first game of the 2003 season. Since then, he has been on the bubble of being active and will have to have a strong camp season in 2004 to make the roster again.
2003: Was brought up to the 53-man roster when Jack Brewer was placed on injured reserve and saw action in three games in November, making one special teams tackle. Signed with the Vikings after spending training camp with Arizona.
College: Started 16 of 38 career games at Colorado State. Played in the Liberty Bowl twice and New Orleans Bowl once in his career.
Personal: Born in Minneapolis, but moved to Colorado when he was young.
