Biography:
Adam Haayer was claimed off the waiver wire during the mandatory roster cutdown to 65 players during the 2002 preseason. Haayer is a third-year player from the University of Minnesota and a native of Wyoming, Minn.

A left tackle in college, he is more of a right tackle/guard prospect. The Vikings would have liked to sign him as a hometown undrafted free agent in 2001, but he was drafted by Tennessee.

2003: Spent the season the practice squad.

2002: Played in four games, mostly on special teams. Saw limited action at left tackle before Bryant McKinnie was signed, filling in for an injured Everett Lindsay.

2001: Sixth-round draft pick by the Tennessee Titans. Spent all of last season on injured reserve with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

College: Played for Vikings offensive line coach Steve Loney at the University of Minnesota.

Played prep football at Forest Lake (Minn.) High School.
