| Steve Christie has been an above average field-goal kicker for many years. With age, he has lost some of the depth on his kicks, as well as height and accuracy. Christie sports sufficient leg strength to be a threat from 45-yards, but has lost some of his accuracy with age.
Steve Christie was signed by San Diego late (Nov. 9th) in the 2001 season after being out of football.

Was 18-26 on the season, good for a 69.2% success rate on field goals. Was 5-12 on field goals longer than 40+ yards.
Christie has handled all the field goal kicking duties since his arrival to San Diego hitting nine of 11 field goals with a long of 41 yards.
Christie spent the previous nine seasons of his NFL career in Buffalo where he became the Bills’ all-time leader in career points and career field goals, while converting a team record 172 consecutive PATs.
