Biography:
The Vikings signed Sean Berton as a rookie free agent after the 2003 draft. He was considered one of the best blocking tight ends coming out in the 2003 draft.

2004: While Berton’s blocking ability is his strength, he finished the year with nine catches for 78 yards, including three receptions in critical back-to-back NFC North games in December. He started seven of the 14 games he played.

2003: Played in all 16 games, mainly as a special teams tackler, where he recorded three takedowns. Saw action in three games as a tight end.

College: Transferred to North Carolina State from West Virginia. Played in the Tangerine Bowl for West Virginia and the Gator Bowl for North Carolina State. Versatile guy who lined up at tight end, fullback and H-back. Was not that nifty or athletic but had nice size, could catch the ball and was an effective all-around blocker.
