Biography:
Marcus Robinson is known as a big-play wide receiver, which is why the Vikings made a strong effort to sign him as an unrestricted free agent in 2004, completing the deal on March 8.

2004: Played in every game, overcoming his history of injury-plagued seasons. Started seven games in the regular season and both playoff games. Finished as the team’s fourth-leading receiver with 47 catches for 657 yards and eight TDs (the latter tying for eighth in the NFC and being the second-best output of his career). Had six catches in two playoff games, including one touchdown.

2003: In his only season in Baltimore, started five games and caught 31 passes for 451 yards. Came on strong at the end of the season, with all six of his touchdowns in the last six games (including four on Nov. 23).

2002: Coming off of knee surgery, played in all 16 games in his final season in Chicago, starting two games. Caught 21 passes for 244 yards.

2001: Played in the first five games, starting four, before having his season ended with a knee injury, the second straight year an injury cut his season short. Caught 23 passes for 269 yards.

2000: Placed on injured reserve for the final three games with a back injury, but still managed to tie for the team lead with 55 catches for 738 yards and five TDs in 11 games (and 11 starts).

1999: Played in all 16 games, starting 11. Had career highs in receptions (84), yards (1,400), and touchdowns (nine). Set the Chicago Bears record for receiving yards and was named an alternate to the Pro Bowl. Named NFL and Miller Lite Player of the Week after a career-high 11 receptions for 170 yards (including three touchdowns) against Detroit.

1998: Had four catches for the Bears after being named NFL Europe Offensive MVP with a league-leading 811 yards and five TDs on 39 receptions.

1997: After being a fourth-round draft pick of the Bears, was placed on injured reserve with a thumb injury after catching 11 passes in the preseason.

College: Had only 37 catches at South Carolina, starting the final six games as a senior. Was a track All-American as a junior, running the 200 meters. Majored in English.

High School: All-America and All-State selection as a wide receiver, free safety and punter at Peach County (Ft. Valley, Ga.) High School.

Personal: Nominated by the Bears for the 2001 Walter Payton/NFL Man of the Year. He and wife, Keyomi, have one daughter, Mykala.
