The large offensive lineman became the Vikings’ second-round pick (49th overall) in the 2005 draft and will vie for playing time at guard and right tackle.
College: Team captain at Mississippi, starting 45 games at right guard and three others at right tackle. Started every game at right tackle in 2003 for the SEC’s leading offense in scoring and yardage. Earned fourth-team Freshman All-American honors from The Sporting News in 2001. Criminal justice major.
High School: Earned first-team Clarion-Ledger all-state honors while playing for Coffeeville (Miss.) High School. Named to SuperPrep's All-Dixie team as a senior. Started three years at offensive line and defensive line. Earned three letters in football.
Personal: Brother, Belton, was an offensive lineman at Mississippi from 1999-2002.
