| Biography: |
| Move to Chicago in 2004 was spoiled by a neck injury that caused him to finish the season on injured reserve for the first time in his career after starting 9 of the first 10 games. Eight-time Pro Bowl selection left guard saw his first action for an NFL team other than Buffalo in 2004, signing with the Bears as a free agent to take over the starting RG position after playing LG for the Bills. Started at LG for the Bears after an injury to Rex Tucker during training camp moved him back to his familiar position. Ranks as the Bills record-holder for Pro Bowl berths by an offensive player, 2nd overall in team history to Bruce Smith's 11. Set a franchise record in 2003 by earning his eighth consecutive Pro Bowl selection while compiling a career-long streak of 71 straight starts. Since November of 1999, has started 96 of the last 104 games and all 149 career games in which he's appeared (145 regular season), including all 16 games in 5 seasons. Started 43 consecutive games from 1996 to 1998. Selected as the 2003 Arthur S. Arkush Humanitarian of the Year by Pro Football Weekly. |
