| Biography: |
| The underappreciated third member of Chicago's renowned starting linebacker trio has developed into a full-time starter the last two seasons while playing next to Pro Bowlers Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs. A sure tackler throughout his football career, he ranks as the Bears third-leading tackler over the last two seasons. Has started 23 games during that span, 16 at SLB including a career-high 12 in 2005. Appeared in every game in 2004 and set a career-high with 90 tackles while starting 11 games, four at SLB and seven at MLB for injured Urlacher. Became second Bear in as many seasons to lead the team in tackles in his first NFL start after Briggs did so in 2003. A solid special teams performer throughout his career who is tied for 6th among active Bears with 26 career special teams tackles. His career-high 12 special teams tackles as a rookie helped solidify Chicago's special teams as he signed with the Bears after being waived by Green Bay. |
