2006: Played in 16 games, starting 13 after Erasmus James was lost for the season due to injury. He finished the season with 49 tackles (26 solos), 21 quarterback hurries 5.5 sacks and one forced fumble. His 5.5 sacks were not only a career best, but led the team in 2006. Had a career-high eight tackles vs. San Francisco Nov. 5.
2005: Played in all 16 games and started in 15 of those. Finished fifth on the team and second among the defensive linemen with 58 tackles and tied for second on the team with four sacks. Also had a forced fumble.
2004: A shoulder injury caused him to miss four games during the beginning and middle of the season, but came on late, making his first two starts as a pro during the playoffs. Finished with 27 tackles and two fumble recoveries in the regular season, and six tackles, including a sack, in the postseason.
College: Three-year starter at Ohio State. Came to OSU as a linebacker, but played defensive tackle as a true freshman before shifting to end. Returned to tackle in his final season. Saw action in 48 games, starting 31 contests, as he recorded 136 tackles (78 solos) with 14-1⁄2 sacks for minus-86 yards, 25 stops for losses of 102 yards, 17 quarterback pressures, six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. History major.
Personal: Attended Capital (Charleston, W.V.) High. Two-time all-state selection. Saw action as a linebacker and fullback, rushing for 1,200 yards in his final year. Twice earned USA Today All-America honorable mention. Was the first player since former Viking Randy Moss to earn the conference player of the year in both football and basketball.
