| Signed by the Dolphins as a free agent on March 6, 2002 ... Went to training camp with New England in 2001 but was waived on Aug. 24 without appearing in a preseason game ... Spent the 1999 and 2000 seasons on New England's reserve/non-football injury list while recovering from a severe knee injury sustained in a rookie all-star flag-football game on a beach in Hawaii as part of the Pro Bowl festivities in February of 1999 ... Hasn't played in an NFL game since New England's first-round playoff loss to Jacksonville on Jan. 3, 1999 ... Rushed for 1,115 yards and nine touchdowns as a rookie in 1998 ... Was selected by New England in the first round (18th overall) of the 1998 draft ... His younger brother, Terrence, is a standout wide receiver at the University of Georgia. |
