Wayne Gandy
Ht: 6-5 Wt: 308 40: 4.96
Position: OT
Date of Birth: 02/10/1971
Experience: 9
College: Auburn

Biography:
The Steelers acquired Gandy as an UFA from the Rams in 1999. After a questionable first season with the Steelers, he came back strong in 2000 and has been a solid pass-protector and leader of the offensive line since. He has also set a high standard for character on the team, after playing most of that 2000 season "one-armed" due to a torn rotator cuff.

He has not been elected to the Pro Bowl yet (only as a second alternate) but has earned respect throughout the league as a solid left tackle. Gandy was the 15th overall pick (Rams) in the 1994 Draft.

At Auburn he was awarded first-team All American honors from The Poor Man's Guide to the NFL Draft (Kodak and Football Writers Association), a unanimous All-Southeastern Conference first-team selection, and a finalist for Outland Trophy both his junior and senior years
