Biography:
Pro
Has been starting strong-side linebacker since winning the job during training camp of his rookie season in 2000. Finished fifth on the team in tackles in 2001 with a career-high 92. He also had 2 sacks and 6 passes defensed. Started all 16 games for the first time, playing through a season-long assortment of injuries (groin/rib/elbow/quad/ankle/calf). Also started both playoff contests, contributing a sack among 11 postseason tackles (fourth on the team).

College
Was a three-time letterman at Ohio State (1997-99), starting his final two seasons at strong-side linebacker. Declared for the 2000 NFL Draft with one year of eligibility remaining because he had redshirted in 1996 as a true freshman. A two-time recipient of All-Big Ten honors, he also received All-America recognition in 1999. Led the Buckeyes in tackles for loss twice (1998-99), in sacks on two occasions (1997 and '99), one time in total tackles (1999) and once in forced fumbles (1999).
