Cedric James
Ht: 6-1 Wt: 199
Position: WR
Date of Birth: 03/19/1979
Experience: R
College: TCU

Biography:
Cedric James’ receiving statistics at Texas Christian didn’t show the type of production to warrant a mid-round selection in 2001, but statistics don’t tell the story of his potential.

What is most important to know about James is that he is an athlete, and the Vikings believe in molding athletes to their system. His production on the offensive side wasn't big because, he said, at TCU the offense ran the ball 75 to 80 percent of the time.

2001: In his rookie year, James tried to work through a hamstring injury in minicamp and training camp, but eventually he was placed on injured reserve and missed the entire season.
