How Acquired: Signed as a transition-tag free agent by the Vikings away from the Seattle Seahawks in March 2006.

Injury History: Missed 12 games in 2002 after breaking his leg vs. the Vikings in a game Sept. 29.

2006: Became notorious around the NFL as the word “poison pill” came into the vocabulary of NFL fans, inking a seven-year, $49 million contract with Minnesota. He started all 16 games for the Vikings at left guard and was voted to start in his fourth straight Pro Bowl. He extended his career streak of never missing a game or a start to 89 – 84 regular-season games and five postseason games.

2005: Started all 16 games at left guard, earning his third straight start to the Pro Bowl.

2004: Started all 16 games at guard and was named to the Pro Bowl.

2003: Started all 16 games and became just the second Seattle offensive lineman (along with tackle Walter Jones) ever named to the Pro Bowl.

2002: Started four games before being placed on injured reserve with a broken leg suffered vs. the Vikings Sept. 29.

2001: Became only the third rookie in Seahawks history to start all 16 games at guard after being taken with the 17th overall selection of the 2001 draft.

College: Was a four-year starter at Michigan, making 46 starts in 47 career games. Was selected as a captain both his junior and senior seasons. Just the second player – defensive tackle Mark Messner from 1985-89 being the other – to be a four-time first-team All-Big Ten selection. Was a finalist for both the Lombardi and Outland Trophies as a senior. Came to Michigan as a defensive tackle, but switched to guard during as a redshirt freshman season.

Personal: A second-team high school All-American, according to USA Today, as a high school senior. Married and lives and Fort Lauderdale with his wife Landyn.
