2006: Played in all 16 games and made two starts – Oct. 8 vs. Detroit and Oct. 22 vs. Seattle. Finished the season with six catches for 45 yards and a touchdown. Produced a highlight-film moment Sept. 17 vs. Carolina when he caught a 16-yard touchdown on a fake field goal pass thrown by kicker Ryan Longwell – the first TD in Vikings history thrown by a kicker. In two years with the Vikings he hasn’t missed a game.
2005: Played in all 16 games, making two starts as a hybrid tight end/H-back position player. He caught two passes for 18 yards. As a special teamer, had three kick returns on short kickoffs for 25 yards and forced two fumbles and recovered another.
2004: Had a hodge-podge season, starting two games, playing in five more and being inactive for nine, including the final eight. Was inactive for both playoff contests. Finished with eight receptions.
College: Caught 24-250-4 in three seasons at Louisville under offensive coordinator Scott Linehan, but his real strength was as a long snapper he’s able to consistently get the ball back in 0.68-0.72 seconds. Made the Conference USA All-Freshman team in 2000.
Personal: Married, wife’s name is Tina. Has volunteered with Salvation Army and its collection efforts. Was an honor student in high school.
