2006: Started 10 games for the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe and was named to the All-NFL Europe All-Star Team. Was second in NFLE with four interceptions and 42 tackles, 12 passes defensed and two forced fumbles. Was named NFLE Player of the Week with a pair of interceptions against Hamburg. Played in all 16 games for the Vikings and was credited with two starts. Finished the year with 21 tackles (eight solo) and three passes defensed. Second on the team with 15 special teams tackles. Started twice – vs. the Redskins and Patriots – when the Vikings started the game with a nickel defense on the field.
2005: Went to training camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but was waived Aug. 30 and didn’t sign on with another team.
2004: Spent the entire season on the Buccaneers practice squad.
2003: Signed by Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent April 28. Was released Aug. 29 in the final round of cuts. Was re-signed to the Bucs practice squad Oct. 9 and signed to the 53-man roster on Dec. 2. Played in four games in the final month and had nine tackles with three passes defensed.
College: Played in 43 games at Virginia Tech and made 32 starts. Finished his college career with 190 tackles and seven interceptions. Was named Third-Team All-America and First-Team All-Big East as a senior. Was a second-team All-Big East selection as a junior.
Personal: Played four years of high school ball for Lake Taylor High in Norfolk, Va. Played running back, cornerback and returned kicks. As an offensive threat, he completed his high school career rushing for 3,458 yards and 44 touchdowns. Was an All-State first-team selection as a senior.
