How Acquired: Signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent on April 25, 2005.

2006: Played in all 16 games, almost exclusively on special teams, where he led the Vikings 25 tackles. Had his first career fumble recovery against Arizona.
2005: Was one of the final cuts before the season began, but was immediately signed to the practice squad. Was signed from the practice squad Oct. 22 and appeared in seven games, recording 13 special teams tackles. Was inactive for the final four games of the regular season.
College: Played three seasons at San Diego State after transferring from San Jose State, where he played one season. In three years at SDSU, he had 180 tackles, 13.5 sacks and nine forced fumbles. As a senior, he was named the team’s defensive most valuable player and special teams player of the year. Was an honorable mention All-Mountain West Conference selection in 2004, when he had 69 tackles, seven sacks, two interceptions and four forced fumbles.
Personal: Two-time all-conference selection in high school and defensive MVP at Corona High School as a senior after recording 129 tackles and 10 sacks en route to being named All-Mountain View League. A criminal justice major in college, Farwell has career plans of being a member of a SWAT team after his football career is over.
