Acquired on Aug. 27, 2007, by the Vikings in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2009 sixth-round draft pick. The Eagles also acquired Holcomb via trade from the Buffalo Bills in March.
Pro: During his 11-year career, has started 21 of 34 games, completing 523 of 810 passes (64.7 percent) for 5,401 yards, 37 touchdowns and 37 interceptions for a 79.9 passer rating.
Played the 2005-2006 seasons with the Buffalo Bills, starting eight games in 2005, and the 2001-2004 seasons with the Cleveland Browns, starting 12 games over the final three seasons there.
Previous to Cleveland, played five seasons in Indianapolis, primarily as Peyton Manning's backup. Played in only five games (all in 1997), starting one, during his time in Indianapolis.
Entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1995.
College: Played in 43 games for Middle Tennessee State, starting all of them. Threw for 7,064 yards on
501 of 801 passing.
