The Arizona Cardinals selected J.J. Arrington, a running back out of Cal, with their 44th overall selection of the second round in the 2005 NFL Draft.
Arrington is fast, but struggles to defend himself on the run. He is scheduled for free agency in 2009.
2007
Arrington nudged into the No.2 role behind Edgerrin James, but his carry total left much to the imagination (26). He never earned more than four touches in a game. The Cardinals relied more on Arrington's receiving skills, he finished his 2007 campaign with 29 receptions for 241 yards.
2006
Arrington saw the most action his sophomore season on kick return duties. He returned 1,520 yards. He also clocked in as James' backup and registered 19 yards on 14 carries.
2005
Arrington appeared in 15 games with five starts his rookie season. He was very productive in his first year out. Arrington tallied 370 yards on 112 carries for the Cardinals. |
