After playing center in college, the team’s second-round draft choice in 2006 has been manning the right tackle position since late in his rookie season.

2007: In his first season as a full-time starter, became part of the NFL’s No. 1 rushing offense and helped pave the way for a franchise-record 2,734 rushing yards and 5.33 yards per carry. Was also part of Adrian Peterson’s NFL-record 296-yard game. Started all 16 games at right tackle.
2006: Became the highest drafted center since the Vikings took Dave Huffman with the 43rd pick of the 1979 draft. Played in six games during the season and started the final three games at right tackle vs. the Jets, Packers and Rams. In the two games prior to that – Nov. 26 vs. Arizona and Dec. 3 vs. Chicago – he didn’t start, but split time with veteran Mike Rosenthal. Saw limited action during the preseason at the center position.
College: A walk-on for the Lobos, he was a three-time All-Mountain West selection at center and a four-year starter. Holds the school weightlifting record in the power clean (352 pounds). In 47 career games as a starter, he set a school record for 418 knockdown blocks and never allowed a defender to get more than three tackles in a game. Started the final 44 games of his college career.
