How Acquired: Signed a free-agent contract on March 6, 2007 worth five years, $15 million.
Future Contract Status
2007: Led the Vikings with 54 catches for 647 yards (12-yard average) and three touchdowns, including a career-high two in the season finale at Denver. His 647 yards were a career high. Also returned a team-high 16 punts for 112 yards (7-yard average).
2006: Played in all 16 games for the Tennessee Titans, catching 33 passes for 461 yards and two touchdowns. Of his 33 receptions, 22 of them converted first downs. He also returned 50 kickoffs for a 23.9-yard return average.
2005: Signed as a free agent by the Titans and played in 14 games, starting one. Caught 14 passes for 120 yards. Added 33 punt returns for 317 yards and one touchdown.
2004: Had his most productive season as a pro with the Chicago Bears, playing in 16 games with 14 starts. He caught 42 passes for 481 yards.
2003: Selected by the Bears in the fifth round with the 139th pick of the draft. Played in 12 games, catching 12 passes for 137 yards.
College: A four-year starter at Arizona who started 41 of 45 career games. Finished his career with 230 receptions for 3,351 yards (both school records) and 23 touchdowns. Was also a kickoff and punt returner and his 4,785 all-purpose yards ranked fourth in Arizona history. First-team All-Pac 10 and team Most Valuable Player as a senior, when he set a single-season school record with 93 catches for 1,389 yards and eight touchdowns. Second-team All-Pac 10 as a junior. Majored in political science.
Personal: Single. A four-year letter-winner at Desert Vista High School in Phoenix. His team won the Class 5A state championship his senior year and he was named Player of the Year by USA Today. Also lettered four times in track and twice in baseball. He won the Class 5A triple jump title as a senior. His father, Robert Wade Sr., played college ball at UCLA.
