How Acquired: Signed with the Vikings as an unrestricted free agent on March 14.
Injury History: Suffered a hamstring injury in 2006 and missed the following four games.
Future Contract Status
2007: In his final season with Miami, played in all 16 games and made nine starts for an injured Zach Thomas. Had 64 tackles, three passes defensed and two interceptions for a 1-15 team.
2006: Played in 11 games, mainly on special teams, where he had seven tackles. Made five tackles in a limited defensive role.
2005: Played in the final 12 games, starting two. Registered 23 tackles and a forced fumble. Had seven tackles on special teams.
2004: Played in all 16 games, including three starts, as a rookie after being a seventh-round draft choice of the Dolphins. Posted 44 tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery that he returned for a touchdown. Ranked fifth on the squad with nine special teams tackles.
College: Named first-team All-Southeastern Conference and won the team’s Lee Roy Jordan Headhunter Award. Started in his final season at Alabama and lettered in his final two years after transferring from Garden City (Kan.) Community College. During his time at Alabama, recorded 170 tackles, including 15 for a loss, six sacks, two forced fumbles, two interceptions, six passes defenses and a fumble recovery. Started three games as a junior and 10 as a senior.
