| Biography: |
Lorenzo Bromell is one of two former Dolphins defensive ends to come to Minnesota during the 2002 offseason. He joined left defensive end Kenny Mixon on the Vikings roster. The pair had a little rookie-season magic in Miami, when they combined for 10 sacks in 1998.
Bromell was largely responsible for that number, registering eight, but that has remained his career high. He was expected to win the starting job at right defensive end in 2002 but failed to do so.
2002: Played in all 16 games, starting one. Registered 17 tackles and four sacks.
2001: Played in 16 games but started only one with Miami. Had 6.5 sacks, second on the Dolphins roster. Also played in both playoff games.
2000: Played in eight regular-season games and two playoff games.
1999: Played in 15 games, starting one. Had five sacks and a blocked field goal. Also played in both playoff games.
1998: Tied the Dolphins’ rookie sack record with eight. Played in 14 regular-season games and two playoff games. Tied Green Bay’s Vonnie Holliday for the rookie sack lead.
College: Played two years at Clemson, starting one, after transferring from Georgia Military College. Named second-team All-ACC as a senior.
Married Shaontell during the 2002 offseason.
